DIX (Domestic IP eXchange) is a telco grade IP interconnection service. Finnish telecom companies use this service as a safe and reliable way to exchange traffic between their networks.
With DIX-service, a telecom company can reach all it's interconnection partners and service operators that are using the service, with one connection. Currently practically all voice traffic, and most of messaging traffic changes from one network to another using DIX.
DIX service contains a number of traffic exchane points that operate independently, backing up each other. These switching points are located geographically distributed in easy to reach locations. Each technical element is fault tolerant and under 24/7 monitoring.
